Coming Home for the First Time!
I remember like it was yesterday, the emotions and excitement when we bought our first home. There were no window coverings and my husband and I slept on the bedroom floor the night we got our keys. So excited we were to be home owners, we wouldn’t wait for a properly set up bed. We were up before 6am rolled around the next morning. The early morning summer sunlight was already intense through our still uncovered windows. My husband tried unsuccessfully to go back to sleep in the closet, but I was too excited to sleep. I was up in my new home! We spent the next 19 hours on day one painting and setting up our home. Yes we were a little crazy, but excitement can be a great motivator. Years have passed, and I still love my home, but there is something very special about coming home for the first time.
Share the Joy
Do you have kids? One of the joys I have of being a parent is experiencing the joy of life through my children’s eyes. Stopping for a train crossing can become a delight instead of a painful delay if you take time to see through a child’s eyes. My approach to selling homes is the same. While I cannot experience buying my own new home over and over again I get to live through the excitement all over again with Friends and Family as they buy their new homes.
New Friends
Each time I work with a new client I have the opportunity to build new friendships and grow existing ones. When you enter into a Real Estate transaction you quickly go deeper with someone. You must learn what their likes dislikes and personality is, so that you can represent them well as a buyer or seller. I love being able to make the best of every situation and do everything I can to make your transaction as good as it can be.
A Longing Fulfilled
The good book says, “A longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul”, and I couldn’t agree more. Home ownership is something many are longing for. As I meet new friends or reconnect with old ones, I’m glad to help them on the journey of finding that special home of their own. I am more than thrilled to be serving others and be a part of their ‘Longing fulfilled’.
